I kind of did talk about this in my previous blog post but I have other challenges and strengths that I didn't mention in the first post. I think that when it comes to writing, I am very good at making sure that my own thoughts and my feelings have been expressed well enough that the reader can almost feel what I feel. The personal narrative was a perfect example. Although, now that I think about it, I could have added more feelings and thoughts, but it's okay. Anyways, I love reading being able to feel how a character is feeling so I try to add that into my writing.  A challenge of mine is sentence fluency. It's not too much grammar because I have definitely improved my grammar skills, but it's tying everything together for a smooth read. Sometimes when I write, my writing sounds so choppy and weird (awkward). I don't really know how to fix it. I try to say it out loud and correct but if anyone has any tips that would be great. This year, I have really enjoyed writing weekly blogs. I like to write them because they are an awesome way for me to express how I feel and my opinions. Although, my blogs to tend to be long so I don't get a lot of people commenting on them. I feel pretty successful that I reach the goals of the blog posts every time. I was not enjoying the literary analysis. Although when reading a book or poem, I do like to look deeper into the meaning of the actions of the characters or meanings of words, but not for the entire book. Also, I have a difficult time writing a formal paper for some reason.  Another piece of writing that I enjoyed was writing the personal narrative. I really liked taking specific thoughts and memories from a certain moment and putting it on paper for everyone else to experience. I always feel like people who live in the country say that they want to live in the city and vice versa. I am one of those cases. I hate the city. Why do I hate cities? Well, number one is that if you were to lay out in the grass in your backyard and star-gaze, you could not see one star. Well, you can, but they aren't very clear. Honestly, that's one of my favourite things to do (mosquito spray is a must though). Sometimes, I'll lay out in my backyard, and I can see the stars, and connect them and make my own constellations and find the pre-existing ones. It's hard to do this because of all the light pollution and air pollution. Last summer, my family and I went to the Grand Canyon. One night I wasn't really feeling it, so I went outside out of our hotel room and laid a towel down and looked at the stars. I have never seen anything more beautiful in my entire life. Every star is visible, and each star is so vibrant. Shooting stars are visible every ten seconds! 

The one thing I do not understand is why Papa abuses his family even though he loves and cares for them so much. Although, he blames the abuse on the abused because their sins caused him to abuse them. If you love someone, you should not hurt them, even if they have sinned. Although, I am so proud of Kambili because she has completely changed. She used to live in her own little quiet world where she never interacted with people. Now, she's playing with the girls at school and actually talking back to people if they argue with her. I don't know about you, but I don't remember Papa showing that much sadness about his father's death. I think he wanted to cry but definitely didn't show it as much as Aunt Ifeoma did. All Papa was worried about was his father's conversion to Catholicism. I was angry at Papa because he didn't care about his father at all! He didn't even let his children visit him.
